Citi Prime Finance makes reshuffles
Citi Prime Finance has appointed Alan Pace into the newly created role of global head of sales and client experience, according to an internal memo.
Pace was previously head of the Americas prime finance in New York. Prime finance sales including securities lending sales and prime brokerage sales will report into him. The bank is also aiming to boost its Delta One service and that department too will have a line into Pace.
Pace will continue to be based in New York. The new role aims to create greater consistency within the bank across its sales and client facing businesses globally.
"Prime Finance and Futures/OTC is a client driven organisation. Everything starts with the delivery of our current and prospective client needs, in terms of service levels, technology, relationship management and data. Historically, we have been effective at the delivery of these services in product silos, but have not been able to create a culture across the entire group of a common ethos of client strategy and execution. In order to capture opportunities in a difficult environment where clients are asking us to deliver the combined services of Citi, we will create a unique global client focused strategy going forward," read the memo.
David Murphy will assume responsibility for prime finance in the Americas and will relocate to the US in 2013. He was previously managing director and head of prime finance for APAC at Citi, having joined in 2011 from Deutsche Bank where he was head of prime finance for Asia.
