BNP Paribas Securities Services appoints Head of Australia and NZ

BNP Paribas Securities Services has announced the appointment of David Braga as Head of Australia and New Zealand, a role which Braga will start in mid-May.

Braga was previously Head of Product for Custody and Fund Services at J.P. Morgan Chase & Co Australia and New Zealand, and prior to that Head of Technology, BT Portfolio Services at BT Funds Management. He has 25 years of experience in the financial services industry, and is also Chairman of the Australian Custodial Services Association (ACSA) and a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Braga is the executive sponsor of ACSA’s regulatory and compliance working group and Co-Sponsor of its Stronger Super Taskforce and understands legislative changes impacting custodians and clients.

Ian Perkins, currently Acting Head of BNP Paribas Securities Services Australia and New Zealand, will remain as Head of Client Development, overseeing the local sales and management teams. Braga and Perkins will work closely together as they aim to continue growing the bank’s business.
